Vet Nurse Training
Cinder Hill Equine Clinic is an RCVS registered training practice. This enables us to put our Patient Care Assistants through their Level 3 Diploma in Equine Veterinary Nursing. This is a three year course that involves attending college 3-4 times a year, alongside learning from our vets and registered nurses whilst working full time at the practice. Students learn the practical skills of nursing along with the theory, legal and moral obligations being a registered veterinary nurse.
We currently have Amy Akehurst as a student nurse enrolled with 'The School of Veterinary Nursing' in Hampshire who has Lydia as her clinical coach. We have also just recently enrolled Megan Yeoman. Our aim is to have a team of competent Registered Equine Veterinary Nurses to help reduce the work load of our Veterinary Surgeons.
If you are interested in how to become an Equine Veterinary Nurse, please do not hesitate to call the office to talk to one of our young and euthusiastic team of nurses.
